Job Description

General Summary:

The Health & Wellness Manager will develop, promote, implement, and measure comprehensive team member wellness programs, creating awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Utilize online wellness platforms, on-site fitness facilities, health and wellness event fairs, coaching and lifestyle programs, on-site vending and catering, and act as the primary liaison with Marathon/Everside (provider of onsite clinics).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and administers various wellness programs and measures participant satisfaction for all company team members.
  • Responsible for daily operations of on-site and off-site wellness programs, including online platforms to provide team members with a selection of wellness activities.
  • Leads a global health and wellness committee comprised of team member representatives throughout each of the company's facilities.
  • Maintains records, documentation, and reports for all wellness programs.
  • Manages the Everside relationship including rollout of new Everside programs, annual Health Risk Assessments, working with nurse practitioners to ensure clinics are properly staffed and supplied.
  • Oversees our annual flu shot program.
  • Oversees the onsite fitness facilities including equipment selection, maintenance, and design/layout.
  • Develops programs (video, podcasts, posters, etc.) on the proper use of our fitness facilities equipment.
  • Ensures the fitness facility policies are adhered to and waivers are completed by all team members utilizing a company fitness facility.
  • Oversees the Company's planning, implementation, and communication of wellness events and programming, via company Intranet and internal postings.
  • Manages our onsite vending/canteen including selection of vendor and food choices with emphasis on providing healthy choices.
  • Communicates and coordinates with partner organizations to promote, sustain, and expand wellness resources for team members (i.e. Lockton, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Quantum, American Heart Association, Smart Dollar, Wellright, etc.).
  • Identifies and develops wellness program improvements to minimize program expenses.
  • Participates in meetings and workshops to convey or gather information required to sustain and improve wellness programs.
  • Ensures safety of participants and facility property.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Equivalent to an appropriate four-year college program.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years relevant wellness/personal fitness experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Strong organizational, time management, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently research best practices and make effective recommendations using creativity and critical thinking skills.
  • Naturally proactive with the ability to anticipate needs and self-direct.
  • Able to take full ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
  • Inspiring, positive, outgoing personality traits are essential.
  • Some Travel required, primarily among South Carolina locations, but all Zeus sites.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office 365, including the ability to maintain a SharePoint page.
