Vertiv is looking for a Warehouse Operational Excellence Manager in Westerville, Ohio who will be responsible for the performance management of warehouse operations at Vertiv. They set and measure performance metrics with internal and third-party warehousing partners. The Warehouse OE Manager sets a continuous Improvement plan with the leaders at each Vertiv Warehouse to improve performance and efficiency. This person provides thought leadership, engineering, best practices and Lean / Six Sigma expertise to standardize and improve the execution of inbound and outbound warehouse operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sets performance goals for the operations and communicates with each team member how their responsibilities are integrated into the success of the team
• Work with warehouse operators to define and measure metrics that align with Vertiv goals
• Analyze and improve performance vs the performance metrics
• Conduct regular control point meetings to review performance and project progress with each Vertiv inbound and outbound warehouse facility
• Work with Information Technology Team as the "Business Owner" of the technology portfolio for warehouse operations including Warehouse Management System, Radio Frequency guided technology, automation, etc.
• Manages a portfolio of improvement projects including efforts to advocate on behalf of warehouse operations with partner functions
• Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to shipping, space optimization, materials handling and storage
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Warehouse Operational Excellence Manager reports to the Director of Logistics.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field or equivalent work experience in logistics
• Minimum 5 years' management in distribution in a global manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

PREFERRED REQUIRMENTS:
• College degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or Operations Management or equivalent work experience
• Lean and Six Sigma experience with Black Belt credentials preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with personnel to accomplish tasks
• Must be action-oriented with an eye for finding opportunity and solving problems
• Detail oriented with ability to complete tasks in timely manner
• In depth knowledge of modern warehousing and inventory practices
• English language skills required, and Spanish language is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be willing to work in an industrial environment with the ability to move about on a warehouse floor in order to observe work and make observations.

Travel: 20% travel
