Position Involves:

NATURE & SCOPE: The essential job function of the Utility is to assist in line start-up, remove trash and relieve when necessary.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in line set up prior to start-up, stocks line with packaging materials such as bags, boxes, strapping, tape, clips, etc., fills in for line worker as necessary.
• Packs and palletizes cases of cooked food products, labels boxes as needed, notifies supervisor and or operation specialist if machinery not operating properly.
• Keeps work area clean and observes Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules.
• Utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned, monitor and control key product control points such as weight, size, temperature, etc.

Position Requires:

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform routine repetitive tasks, read weights and scales, sufficient mathematical ability to perform mathematical calculations, plot data and make statistically based decisions.
• 3 months work history with the same employer.
• 6 months of machine operator experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Physical abilities to vertically move product weighing 5 lbs. constantly, 20 lbs. occasionally, exerting forces of 10 lbs. frequently, exert grip forces of 17 lbs. frequently lifting 50 to 75 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Walk up to 4 miles during the shift, and work in extremes of temperature and be certified to operate a pallet jack.
