This position is responsible for implementing and leading all aspects of processes in the Solution area to improve reliability and ensure equipment durability following the defined maintenance and reliability strategy.

Expected Achievements

  • Take ownership of all equipment in my area of responsibility by crafting Asset Management Plans through the utilization of the FMEA process
  • Ensure accurate prioritization of resources by preforming and routinely updating the Criticality Analysis of all equipment in my area of responsibility
  • Eliminate reactive failures through Root Cause Analyses
  • Increase the reliability of the equipment and reduce the reactivity to failures by taking ownership of the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs to include vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, motor circuit analysis and ultrasonic examination
  • Effectively communicate the status of the Reliability Program through tracking Key Performance Indicators such as Asset Health, PM Compliance, Schedule Compliance and Downtime
  • Assist the Maintenance and Operations Groups by providing technical expertise for problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment failures but not including the acquisition of replacement parts or the coordination of resources
  • Utilize and Manage the Rebuild Circuit by setting the prioritization of the rebuilds and collecting data and findings to determine the sources of failure
  • Support the Mechanical Integrity Group through tracking and scheduling vessel internal inspections, PSV inspections, and LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) follow-ups
  • Manage the Computer Maintenance Management System (BMA) by ensuring data accuracy, coordinating work order flow and training craftspeople to utilize the system to provide maximum data collection and improved work efficiency
  • Work with Maintenance and Operations to maintain the equipment while improving production and minimizing costs by creating a weekly maintenance schedule that coordinates and prioritizes the crafts' work in my area of responsibility
  • Support the MDP process through the management of daily and monthly indicators for the Area Maintenance Shop while attending the daily N1 level meeting
  • Minimize the Stores' cost and improve the availability of critical spare parts through criticality analysis, critical spare parts inventory checks and usage and stock out analyses
  • Work with Operations to achieve Operational Excellence through the implementation of operator inspections, visual controls, and standard operating procedures
  • Reduce unplanned breakdowns and eliminate defects by leading small improvement projects and implementing precision maintenance standards including shaft alignment, wear tolerances, lubrication practices, bolt torque procedures and other guidelines stated in Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals
  • Assist the Project Engineering (BE) Group in the design and commissioning of projects by ensuring Reliability Centered Designs and developing Asset Life Cycle Management Plans

Minimum Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated ability in a maintenance or production related environment
  • Must have strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
  • Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, personal demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
