Turnaround Lead Planner

Position Overview:

The Turnaround Lead Planner is responsible for planning maintenance work items within assigned turnarounds, catalyst changes, pit stops, and project integrations. This includes time and cost estimates for equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Support Block Coordinators on scopes
• Ensure proper QA/QC systems are identified and planned for accordingly within the turnaround
• Review detailed work scopes, job estimates, plans, schedules, bill of materials, and work packages to ensure quality and completeness
• Develop bidding strategies in conjunction with turnaround management to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective plans for execution
• Specify and order material required for turnarounds
• Participate in the coordination efforts with the Capital Projects department to ensure the projects are properly integrated into the turnaround
• Update data in NaviTrack, and other inhouse systems
• Ensure planning efforts meet established timelines
• Work with scheduler on logistics of plans and ensure schedule is accurate
• Work with Operations in the development of defined scopes
• Participate in turnaround pre-screen and risk assessment
• Assure accurate deliverables are furnished to the Production Team
• Participate in Motiva's Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives
• Participate in the turnaround event lookback and learning process
• Act as an MOC Team Member - complete assigned action and PSSR items

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 5+ years of maintenance, projects, or turnaround experience
• Experience with maintenance planning, manpower loading, sequencing, resource levelling, scheduling, target and milestone setting
• Practical knowledge of maintenance, production, planning, and scheduling processes

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)

Other Considerations:

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the requirement of a work visa
• Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
• Must support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings

• Must support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives
• Must support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies
