Threat and Vulnerability Lead

ROLE SNAPSHOT 

HelpSystems is looking to add a Threat and Vulnerability Lead within our enterprise application security group. This is a hands-on role providing risk evaluation, threat modeling, and practical technical expertise for HelpSystems globally. This role will work directly with the CISO to set strategy and focus, and will collaborate with Development, DevOps, and CloudOps teams to evaluate and prioritize potential weaknesses in applications, development processes, and supporting environments. 

 KEY DUTIES 

·         Lead roadmap development for application threat and vulnerability management program 

·         Serve as the subject matter expert for the threat and vulnerability processes and technology including reporting on program effectiveness  

·         Monitor for critical vulnerabilities and exposures relevant to safeguarding our products and services 

·         Provide analysis of vulnerabilities and consulting to stakeholders on remediation and mitigation strategies 

·         Influence stakeholders to prioritize and execute risk management initiatives and drive remediation of process and technology gaps reporting on progress 

·         Guide the continuous improvement of policies, processes, and practices related to our development organization globally 

·         Support the design and planning of our risk management processes including component analysis, dynamic/static testing, and other assessment activities 

·         Advise on security standards and processes including interacting with departments on their technology needs and practices including risk assessments 

·         Conduct research on the latest threat intel, vulnerabilities, and exploits  

·         Other duties as assigned 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Bachelor's degree and/or minimum 5+ years related work experience  

·         Capable of independent decision-making, prioritization, and ability to present risks and influence various leaders on appropriate risk management strategies 

·         Practical knowledge of the cyber kill chain, and common exploitation techniques and mitigations 

·         Hands on experience with common tools such as SAST, DAST, etc. 

·         Understanding of risk modeling, and strong emphasis on organization and documentation 

·         Highly Desirable: Professional certifications or relevant experience in a regulated industry
