ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of the Audio-Visual (AV) needs for the FSU College of Medicine and its state-wide mission critical video teleconferencing (VTC) operations. Provides technical consulting with departments to determine hardware, software, and support needs for complex technology solutions. Provides detailed troubleshooting of customer level equipment and project support to include set-up of equipment for AV and VTC needs, testing equipment in preparation for meetings. Interfaces with customers to coordinate meetings and conferences.
Manages advanced systems that include server, application, and client software/hardware computing. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining optimal systems operations and coordinating efforts to pursue resolution of problems associated with computer operating systems, complex networks, and software used at the college. Recommends, schedules, and performs software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations.
Provides high level technical multimedia support for recording of live events, classes, faculty development and special events.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: appropriate post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
