ECS is seeking a System Administrator to work in our San Diego, CA office.

Job Description:

ECS Tech, LLC is seeking a System Administrator for the USNS Mercy, San Diego, CA.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Front-line support for users Windows 10 PCs/Laptops, printers, VOIP phones, and other peripherals. Basic troubleshooting of Windows 10 OS, Office applications, and common 3rd party applications. Assisting with AD and Email account creation for new users. Assisting engineering and Navy IT staff as needed. Performing triage on issues as they are reported and escalates issues to the next level of support if necessary.

This position is on a Hospital ship that does deploy- at times as long as 6 months- and depending on the emergency can happen with little notice. Candidates must be able to deploy for extended periods of time with short notice in some cases- the Hospital ships respond to emergencies.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Required Skills:

• Must possess the following certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+ or IAT II compliant certification.
  • Microsoft Operating System Certificate required.
• Must be able to lift and carry loads of 50lbs or more, and climb steep ladders and staircases.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
• Must have or obtain a non-diplomatic United States Passport with at least one year remaining before expiration, as this contract will require personnel to embark USNS Comfort for time at sea in foreign waters. (This can be obtained after hire within 30 days.)
• Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate and provide reports on daily efforts.
• The individual must also be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize items as needed.
• Must be a US Citizen & fluent in English.

Desired Skills:

• Combat operation experience is a plus.
• Experience in Medical IT environments, Navy or Defense Health Agency medical systems.
• Experience with Government, Commercial Shipping, and Healthcare industry programs and standards, with familiarity of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DoN) programs and policies.
