The Supplier Diversity Manager will report to the VP, Partner Management and be located in Dallas or San Diego. AMN is deeply committed to sustainability, social impact, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our Supplier Diversity strategy and efforts, to help us amplify our DEI impact. The Supplier Diversity Manger will strategically use supplier diversity best practices to drive spend with Small and Diverse Businesses, meet business needs, and achieve organizational goals. This spend creates wealth in historically underserved communities and helps improve key Social Determinants of Health (e.g., economic insecurity and structural racism). We actively facilitate business partnerships with diverse contractors and suppliers and identify business opportunities to support Small, Minority, Women, Veteran, and LGBTQ+ owned businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Supplier Diversity Manager, you will:
  • Develop and implement a supplier diversity strategy that positions AMN as a leader in our industry.
  • Routinely benchmark our strategy and performance to competitors.
  • Coordinate within the Strategic Accounts and Partner Management team to position AMN's supplier diversity as a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with AMN's DEI Strategic Council to ensure work is consistent with the DEI, Sustainability and Social Impact strategy.
  • Partner with Workplace Diversity Senior Manager and Associate General Counsel to align AMN's shared DEI strategies and goals.
  • Build relationships with clients, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to advance our supplier diversity strategy.
  • Facilitate inclusive and intentional business partnerships with small and diverse suppliers (certified minority-, women-, veteran-, disabled- and LGBTQ+-owned companies).
  • Facilitate inclusive and intentional business partnerships with defined suppliers (certified minority-, women-, veteran-, disabled- and LGBTQ+-owned companies).
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute multi-faceted supplier diversity strategy. Set goals and establish and monitor metrics and KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness and spark continuous improvement.
  • Comprehensive Supplier Identification and Development: Proactively identify, assess, and onboard diverse suppliers and expand AMN's network of diverse-owned and small vendors/suppliers. Implement and execute development programs, including mentorship and training, to enhance supplier capabilities and performance.
  • In-depth Internal Collaboration: Support sales department in drafting supplier diversity related Requests for Proposal submissions. Ensure alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals and initiatives.
  • Robust Compliance and Impactful Reporting: Enforce adherence to federal, state, client, and industry-specific supplier diversity requirements. Advance a comprehensive reporting framework that includes quantitative and qualitative metrics. Generate quarterly and annual reports for clients and deliver quarterly business reviews (QBR). Ensure accurate data tracking throughout the year.
  • Outreach and Advocacy: Build relationships with diverse suppliers and engage with industry groups focused on promoting diversity.
  • Market Analysis and Best Practices Implementation: Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay ahead of industry trends. Adopt best practices in supplier diversity to continually enhance program effectiveness and impact, including guiding the development of technology solutions to both track the number and type of positions filled by our diverse supplier network and consolidate and streamline data collection and reporting.

Experience:

Minimum Experience:
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Tracking and reporting metrics
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong influencing skills to lead to best practices, standardization and support of program.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting results to all levels of complex matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in the application of supplier diversity principles
  • Ability to collaborate among business partners.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with sourcing and developing small, women and minority owned businesses, especially in the healthcare or staffing space.
  • Proven track record in managing diverse suppliers and analyzing induced spend.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in developing and reporting on complex metrics and KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of ESG principles
Education & Years of Experience:
  • Minimum Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Accounting or Supply Chain Management preferred. Plus 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred Education/Certifications: Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD). Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of work experience.
Work Environment:
  • Work "Hybrid" within the encouraged work hours and schedule including required meetings and timely attendance.
  • Work performed primarily in an office environment, consisting of light to moderate physical activity, including use of computer, telephone and/or other office equipment.

$82,000 - $97,500 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
