Job Title: Strategic Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Strategic Operations Manager (CI&R) will support the Account and Site Operations teams in the development and implementation of a world-class Asset Management program using Lean/SixSigma and Reliability-Centered Maintenance processes. Is a subject matter expert with the ability to drive change, create buy-in, and work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create impactful opportunities around efficiency. Oversees account-wide maintenance, tracking, and reporting activities to ensure job safety, environmental compliance, overall equipment effectiveness and high-quality work performance is increased and sustained. Implements and continuously improves Maintenance and Reliability framework incorporating data and reporting from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other sources. Will lead (facilitate) the Criticality Analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and PM Program Optimization processes at multiple sites. Identify and propose process improvements to improve equipment and personnel performance and reduce overall costs. Tracks maintenance performance, quality of work, productivity, and efficiency. Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporates components, materials, and tools of world class maintenance programs and processes that result in cost-effective and quality output.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the efforts of Asset Management to include Validation of asset data and PM Program review; identifies and implements opportunities to improve the asset management plan
  • Leads efforts to perform Criticality Analyses on all systems and equipment by facilitating teams of customer and Operations to ensure most efficient use of resources are applied according to industry-leading standards
  • Create a program to schedule and perform (facilitate group efforts) thorough FMEA's on all critical equipment as preparation for the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes
  • Performs ongoing reviews and validations of the maintenance program in order to validate application of best practice procedures and frequencies, leading to Program Optimization and most effective implementation of routine, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices
  • Identifying opportunities for the most effective use of best practice RCM processes at the site and account levels; implement these best practice RCM Processes to measurably improve the efficacy of facility maintenance operations
  • Lead Improvement Opportunities through application of appropriate Kaizen Events to include waste reduction (Lean) and continuous improvement (SixSigma) processes; where applicable, provide expertise (facilitate) for site and account DMAIC and RCA efforts
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement and/or Best Practice efforts; lead efforts to implement by working with all stakeholders to improve the performance of maintenance effort, people, and other processes to achieve maximum performance
  • Tracks and analyzes site and account level WO Management, applying world-class standards of scheduling and planning; trains and coaches operations staff through the implementation of WO Management best practices to optimize work order performance
  • Provides site and account operations teams with expert-level expertise in identifying and implementing industry-leading metrics; communicates results of performance analytics to measurably improve site and account performance
  • Provides expert-level CMMS expertise at the account level, identifying and correcting potential gaps in training, data management, and reporting
  • Performs any other duties as deemed necessary by the Operations and CI&R leadership
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited college or university; or 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading the applications of Continuous Improvement (Lean/SixSigma) in a manufacturing facility and or commercial office maintenance environment
  • CMMS platform experience required
  • Significant Maintenance program experience is required
  • Lean/SixSigma certification is required; Green Belt (minimum); Ability to achieve Black Belt certification within 12 months
  • CMRP certification strongly preferred; or the ability to achieve such certification within 12 months
  • Ability to create and interpret documents such as process (flow) diagrams, operations, and maintenance data.
  • Ability to write detailed reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge including Pivot tables and formulas
  • Experience with Smart Sheet (collaborative software) is preferred
  • Familiarity with Tableau is a strong plus
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus - meets expectations of internal customers. Resolves quality problems impacting customers
