Responsibilities

The WellStar Information Technology department is currently hiring a Senior Technical Project Coordinator to join the Service Operations team. The Senior Technical Project Coordinator works closely with project managers and oversees project teams to ensure the visibility/transparency of the project among its members and management as well as ensuring client specifications are met. Maintains project activities and continuity of project in the temporary absence or the assigned direction of the project manager. Contributes to the planning and implementation of enhancements and upgrades to WellStar's IT systems as assigned. Responsible for coordinating the implementation of new projects and upgrades to existing systems, software, hardware and platforms throughout the enterprise. Contributes in the development of customer specifications, planning and coordinating customer testing and training, and activation support as appropriate. Supports critical business strategies by managing the installation, maintenance and repair of desktop & network equipment as applicable. The Senior Technical Project Coordinator may also act as a "Team Leader\" assiting with guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a group team members for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results. Monitors the quantitative and qualitative result that is to be achieved.

Will work within the team, as a member, carrying out the same roles but with the additional 'leadership' responsibilities. Familiarity with a variety of Project Management concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to develop, plan and accomplish goals/tasks defined. Performs a variety of tasks, including coordination of the work of others included in project implementation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the IT Manager. Completes all other duties as assigned. Percentage of daily job functions for this position are:

- 45% Project Coordination

- 35% Hardware/Software relocation, replacement, configuration, and implementation / Break/Fix

- 10% Leadership

- 10% Alternate/Other Duties Assigned as indicated above

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred. Six (6) years equivalent work experience in lieu of education will be considered. A+, and Network+ Certificate Required - Alternate Advanced Certifications will be considered (i.e. MCSE/MCSA, CNE/CNA, CCNE/CCNA, etc.).

Required Minimum Experience: A minimum of six (6) years experience in customer service, project management, field service, networking, local software/hardware and operating system support. Prior experience in a large-scale environment utilizing multiple operating systems levels and applications (Novell/Microsoft blended preference).

Required Minimum Skills: Functional knowledge of desktop operating systems and hardware. Functional knowledge of Local/Network printers/printing, and peripherals (i.e. Scanners, PDA's, CE's, etc.). Functional knowledge of desktop applications (i.e. Internet browsers, Email clients, and Microsoft Office products, etc.). Functional knowledge of desktop hardware (Thick and Thin Client products). Functional knowledge of networking (i.e. Microsoft, Novell, etc.). Functional knowledge of network connectivity, infrastructure terminology, and wired/wireless support. Ability to oversee a cross-functional team while motivating team members to their highest potential. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as business presentation and analytical skills. Must be able to interface effectively with all organizational levels, including business units. Effectively utilizes external contractors and internal resources. Must have the ability to effectively convey pertinent information verbally and in writing to management, project team and others in a constructive manner. Capable of executing tasks on schedule; maintaining organized records and working systematically and efficiently. Able to effectively handle and keep track of a variety of assigned tasks. Self motivator and task oriented individual capable of working well with minimal supervision or in overseeing project team. Multitasking and problem resolution skills as well as sound judgment and analytical ability are required.
