Position Overview:
This position serves as a lead internal consultant and advisor to sales department leaders/ team members on sales enablement. The incumbent identifies and leads moderate to complex project development initiatives, analyzes and implements significant process improvements, and determines opportunities and gaps in products and offerings that will enhance the overall client experience. Partners directly with sales, marketing, data and product management teams to evaluate, enhance or develop and deploy solutions to maximize efficiency and provide value to the organization. Focuses on optimizing sales effectiveness and driving revenue growth. The incumbent is a subject matter expert and is called upon to mentor and coach less tenured team members as well as support the development of new products and programs within the organization and team.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure sales team understands and can effectively position Compeer's products, solutions, and services in the market, while also developing their sales skills allowing them to recognize opportunities when they exist and negotiate them to a successful close.
  • Fosters relationships and encourages continuous dialog with sales leadership, client facing product owners, and marketing to identify gaps in sales skills, knowledge, and process, and develop solutions to address those gaps.
  • Promotes proactive collaboration with stakeholders across the organization on product, process and soft-skills development needs necessary to support Compeer's sales goals.
  • Analyzes the sales process and identify areas for improvement. Implements strategies to streamline and optimize the sales cycle, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Evaluates, selects, and implements sales enablement tools and technologies that empower the sales team to work efficiently and close deals effectively.
  • Develops data analysis from various sales tools, as well as research of best practices and industry tools, to make meaningful recommendations to support our sales team and increase sales.
  • Partners with sales, leadership, and client facing teams to understand the process and research needs.
  • Researches best practices and new developments from system partners, industry competitors and other sales driven businesses.
  • Evaluates and assesses projects to determine priorities.
  • Performs comprehensive research on all viable solutions to a project/issue or opportunity.
  • Researches and understands the financial industry and new innovations - products, services, competitors, client needs and challenges.
  • Researches and understands the agriculture industry and new innovations.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Ability to think tactically and strategically when necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge of product life-cycle or product management/development.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, communication, presentation, problem solving, analytical, organizational, critical thinking and listening skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial industry and competitor's products.
  • Ability to effectively lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate/influence others as a leader of projects.
  • Strong business and financial services literacy with the ability to translate the information to marketing initiatives and educate groups on how the two intersect.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications and WebEx software.
  • Solid knowledge of Compeer services, processes, team members, and team functions is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable seeking input from all levels throughout the organization.
  • Proven client service skills and effective team skills are essential.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Valid driver's license.
