Reporting to the Director of Private Label and Global Sourcing, the Senior Manager, Private Label and Global Sourcing - Gaming and PC Accessories, will source and deliver 5-star private label products, reduce the cost of goods sold, by increasing internal direct sourcing capability and identifying and implementing new sourcing strategies and tactics. This person will help develop sourcing plans and product roadmaps, in partnership with the Merchant teams and then be responsible for the execution of those divisional level sourcing plans. Work closely with the Merchants, to drive direct import growth through effective global sourcing and product lifecycle management. Key to this role will be serving as the key internal link between the external resources (including Licensors, design teams, sourcing agents, factories, testing labs, and freight forwarders) and the internal stakeholders (including Merchandising, Private Label Design Team, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Accounting, Legal, Quality, and Warehouses).


  • Manage his/her own products lines and business in electronics, video game accessories, audio, chargers, cables, PC Peripherals, and other non-licensed categories.

  • The candidate will be responsible to grow the direct import business from its early stage to over +$100 million at F.O.B. in the next few years with significant margin improvement.

  • The candidate will be responsible for developing the internal and external team members to meet the needs of the company's aggressive sourcing plans.

  • Supporting merchandising directions and partnering with the Merchandising/Ecommerce teams, the candidate will identify, evaluate and on-board vendors that support the category product needs.

  • The candidate is the driving force to build quality into product to support the long-term growth by partnering with our suppliers and the Quality Assurance department.

  • He/she will influence major negotiations by leveraging the company's purchasing power and maintain good relationship with strategic vendors.

  • The candidate will work very closely with sourcing, QA, merchants and vendors in product development process and global sourcing process to provide innovative product offerings.

  • This individual will support the process of leveraging the current supplier base while researching and developing an expanded and superior global sourcing supplier network to meet the business growth needs for the division.

  • The successful candidate will also assist the Director of Private Label and Global Sourcing, Licensed Products to recommend and implement strategies, policies, controls, and programs which align with the company's long-term vision.

  • The candidate is the primary driving force for cross-divisional efforts to support the overarching sourcing needs for the Private Label growth strategy.

  • The candidate is a strong believer in quality and has proven track record to build quality into products through reading all negative reviews and implementing product or production changes for a better product leading to a superior customer experience.

  • The candidate must demonstrate his or her understanding of supply chain management with an excellent track record in project management, on time delivery and reducing lead time.

  • The ideal candidate will be an aggressive but fair negotiator with strong vendor relation skills and years of experience managing vendor relationship with a major corporation.

  • He/she has traveled globally to evaluate the viability of world market opportunities while building strong manufacture/vendor alliances and accomplishing overall sourcing goals with a deep understanding of the local culture.

  • The position will be responsible for cost negotiations, production, on-time shipments, and overall execution for assigned product categories.

  • Work closely with internal and external product designers to develop the right products for our private label lines.


  • Bachelor's degree with a regionally accredited program or 17+ years relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of related management experience

  • 8+ years of related experience or 10+ years for educational equivalency

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of time.

  • Ability to build samples and lift heavy boxes as needed as samples arrive from our suppliers.

  • Position is be based in Dallas, TX but could be remote based on the right candidate and experience level.

  • Experience in sourcing and production management of video gaming products, technology goods, PC accessories or hard good products is a plus.

  • Strong excel and analytical skills for data analysis.


  • Track record of building successful sourcing teams.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of production methods and various materials

  • Previous private label and sourcing experience within a large retailer

  • At least 20 international sourcing and buying trips.

  • Dallas Preferred but remote to be considered with the right experience and skill set
