Associates degree in a related field. Two years of experience in a related field is required. Financial aid or other University-related work experience would be helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Performs specialist duties or services for the Department of Financial Aid.

Evaluates institutional forms and federal tax documents. Assists in the development of procedures and guidelines for the verification process. Provides federal, state, departmental and/or university information to students, parents, departments, and staff. Performs quality control checks to ensure compliance with regulations. Interprets policies and procedures. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Attends meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Maintains contacts with personnel. Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.

Up to 40% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
