Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint's R&D team is seeking an energetic and uniquely talented engineer who brings both networking and programming experience. This engineer will help build cloud delivered networking services to the next generation of fixed 5G connected networks. This engineer will work together with an energetic team that has excitement and passion about computer networks and making it fun and easy to use. A true game changer to the fixed wireless connected branch offices as part of small footprint distributed enterprise. Networking expertise as well as cloud software orchestration is critical to this success.

What Will You Do?

  • Act as a team member responsible for designing and implementing firmware and SaaS components of cloud connected routers
  • Help implement control plane components used to orchestrate distributed deployments of routers
  • Implement and maintain network services functionality
  • Work in a scrum driven team proactively looking for ways to increase velocity and remove impediments
  • Support, maintain, and document firmware and software functionality
  • Learn existing frameworks to bring quality to products through automation
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience
  • Fundamental understanding of computer networking including switching and routing
  • High level of knowledge of a programming language and object-oriented design patterns
  • Exposure to CI/CD such as Jenkins and Gitlab
  • Understanding of scrum methodologies and works well on a team
  • Python experience a plus
  • Back end experience in a microservices environment a plus
  • CCNA certificate a plus
  • Understanding of IPSec VPNS and dynamic routing protocols like BGP a plus
