Job Description

At EAG, we set the global standard for materials testing services. We offer aconsultative, multi-disciplinary approachto solving our clients' materials and engineering-related product problems. Now with the supports from our parent company,Eurofins Scientific, amulti-billion-dollar global leaderin scientific services with a portfolio ofover 200,000validated analytical methods, EAG is expanding our presence in the battery industry to help accelerate the energy storage revolution.

You will be at the forefront of building a new battery testing lab for our SF Bay Area location. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing battery tests following existing instructions.
  • Performing battery teardown and sample preparation following existing instructions, Organizingand process data
  • Monitoring equipment health and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Keeping the labs organized
  • Training others on basic techniques
Note: This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., \"Green Card Holder\"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Ideal candidate will have:
  • AS in science and technology fields.
  • Experience of working full time in a lab environmentmore than a year
  • Computer literacy: MS Windows, Office (especially Excel), other technique specific applications
  • Numerical, spatial, mechanical and diagrammatic reasoning aptitude
  • Attention to details
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to be self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able toremain in a stationary standing position up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Able to lift and move lab equipment and parts weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Able touse glove box gloves to operate various lab equipment and lab procedures.
