Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of ProgramManagement, theSenior Program Manager willmanage the activities of projects and programs involving department and/orcross-functional teams. The Senior Program Manager willalso focus on high customer satisfaction through delivery within prescribedtime frame and program parameters and monitor the project or program frominitiation through delivery.

Essential Job Duties:

1.Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures foraccomplishing, and allotment of available resources to various phases ofproject; reports findings to leadership.

2.Owns customer relationship for specific programs and manages internalcommunication to effectively execute customer requirements within theorganizations capability.

3.Confers with staff to outline work plan and responsibilities.

  • Workswith Aircraft OEMs (i.e. Boeing or Airbus) and/or airline customersfor new product development.
  • Oversight ofprogram P&L.


  • 6.Coordinates activities of team to ensure project progresses within scope,on schedule, and within budget.

    7.Compiles status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required;prepares project reports for management, client, or others.

    8.Assess project risk. Identify and resolve conflicts. Develop contingency and mitigation plans todeliver project deliverables on schedule, on budget and compliant with contractrequirements. Facilitate communication,interaction and flow with all project participants.

    9.Confers with team to provide technical advice and to solve problems.

    10. Develops and implements processesand influences adherence.

    11. Provides strong leadership to teamincluding employee development and performance management.

    12. Supports continuous improvementprojects as required

  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice (20%)

    Job Qualifications:

    Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and five-to-eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Full life-cycle and phase gate management exposure


  • Proven exceptional customer relationship management skills


  • Strong understanding of project management and related processes required.


  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization


  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace industry.


  • Technical engineering knowledge and understanding, especially with degree obtained in mechanical or aerospace engineering.


  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.


  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership


  • Preferred

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree.


  • PMP certification.


  • Physical Requirements:

    • Normal office environment where approximately 80% of work is performed in a sitting position with the remaining time walking and moving around the office area and factory floor.

    • Filing duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, etc.

    • Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.

    • Must be able to lift and carry 15 lbs.

    • Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
