As a Senior Planner in our Omaha, NE or Kansas City, MO office, your job is to help develop programs and plans for the utilization of land, resources, and economic development within your community. You are responsible for working with a team to help communities by achieving project goals related to such items as infrastructure, parks, facilities, transportation, urban and suburban development, and population growth.

Qualifications include....• Bachelor's degree in Community, Regional, or Community Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Economic Development, or related field. Masters a plus.• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam.• 10+ years of direct experience.• Project experience to include comprehensive plans, long-range transportation plans, geographic information systems, travel demand models, corridor location/feasibility studies, environmental studies, transit studies, pedestrian & bicycle studies, economic analysis, and public agency involvement. • Certification including AICP, PTOE, CTP, PTP a plus.• Basic knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, funding opportunities, and project opportunities.• The ability to see the big picture and execute advance planning practices.• Ability to balance creative planning with client and market expectations.• Strong attention to detail and quality and the ability to meet deadlines.• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.• Ability to manage multiple priorities.• Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations.• Strong problem-solving skills. Capable of defining the problem, identifying alternative solutions, and presenting recommendations.• Ability to establish and maintain client relationships.• Public speaking and facilitation experience.
