Overview:

The Senior MDM Integration Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, day-to-day monitoring, maintaining and production support of reference and master data domains. You will be responsible for mastering data for new domains to be incorporated onto the Master Data Management platform (Boomi MDH) as well as being on point to ensure the quality and integrity of Golden Records in the MDM Repository. You will also be responsible for developing a deep understanding of Business Operations data and data models in all enterprise SaaS applications (CRM, ERP, HCM and others) and disparate source systems across the Enterprise to develop the requisite data and integration specifications to enable MDM solutioning.

You will be part of an innovative and groundbreaking Data Services Management group that is primarily responsible for driving end to end architecture and design of our data management platform and continuous improvement for a world class analytics company. You will be working closely with Stakeholders from all areas of the Business, Enterprise Applications and IT teams, Business Data Stewards, Product Managers and Data Analytics teams to develop, deliver and provide MDM-specific data engineering as a service for the Enterprise.

Position details/requirements:

  • Develop (build, test, monitor and maintain) within the MDM tool (Boomi MDH), and provide production support for reference and master data domains
  • Define/refine MDM solution architecture, design key MDM components (data model, trust/survivorship, match/merge rules, Data Quality rules, data standardization, data validations, integrations, data enrichment, etc.)
  • Drive MDM design to understand the data mappings, data rules, CRUD mappings, and match/merge logic for creation of the Golden Record
  • Hands-on development of MDM tool configuration including data model, match/merge, trust/survivorship, hierarchy, golden record publication, and data stewardship workflows and incorporating the MDM design elements in the actual MDM tool (Boomi MDH)
  • Analyze and distill issues into needed MDM platform changes to develop design documentation as well as level of effort for those changes
  • Develop and execute regression testing mechanisms to test changes to Inbound and Outbound integrations, and work with Business Data Stewards and technical teams for coordination of these efforts
  • Prepare and socialize MDM-specific project status reporting with capability leads and proactively communicate and manage project risk/issues
  • Assist in projects with identification of best practices around development and execution of data profiling scripts and analysis of the results, identification of business rules based on profiling activities, and development and execution of data remediation plans
  • Interface with team members and Business Data Stewards to facilitate gathering requirements around profiling, business rules, exception framework, and remediation activities
  • Enable the design and development of DQ metrics dashboards using visualization tools
  • Design, develop, and test the integration of data quality routines inside of data movement pipelines and Boomi integration processes
  • Develop MDM-specific Data Flow Diagrams, Data Model(s) and ERDs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end technical and business viability of MDM solution
  • Provide leadership in establishing operational environments and inter-operability with analytic environments
  • Work with other team members to ensure Master Data Management standards, governance principles and best practices are followed
  • Ensure the successful delivery of solutions and associated documentation
  • Ensure compliance with both external and internal requirements and standards, including data privacy, GDPR, CCPA, and other legal compliance, as well as adherence to internal audit and data management life cycle requirements
  • Work within agile development environment to estimate and execute on master data management and data engineering projects
  • Extreme focus on detail and delivering value to the business.
  • Deep interest in data management and analytics with ability to constantly evaluate new ways to enhance the information system and data architecture

Qualifications:
  • Full end to end Master Data Management development, implementation and operations support expertise
  • Hands-on experience working within MDM tools, preferably Boomi MDM (Master Data Hub), that includes changes to data model, trust/survivorship, data steward interface, publication mechanisms, external data validation and enrichment services, etc.
  • Experience mastering data, building canonical data models, developing architectural designs, and implementing Master Data Management solutions
  • Experience with RDBMS, cloud databases and data warehouse solutions (Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query, Azure Datawarehouse, Snowflake)
  • Data modeling experience within cloud environments (SaaS, IpaaS and PaaS)
  • Experience with business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, HCM and others)
  • Experience with integrations/MDM tools (Informatica, SAS, Collibra, Boomi)
  • Understanding of taxonomy, data lineage, metadata, and hierarchies
  • Expert level skills in SQL, data quality development process, issue management, and data remediation within MDM platforms
  • Experienced in Data Integration, Data Quality, Enterprise Data Management, and Data Governance principles / models
  • Experience in data security / privacy / protection, and data life-cycle management
  • 3+ years of data integration / data modeling / data governance / data quality monitoring and improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in business operations data management and enterprise applications on SaaS platforms
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with 3+ years' experience developing Master Data Management solutions in a Dev-Ops environment
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and tools (Jira)
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with geographically distributed teams
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience
  • Experience with Alteryx platform preferred, but not required
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Science, Data Analytics, or related technical field

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Irvine, CA is $111,900 - $190,200. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
