The Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Financial Services Compliance Model Governance will help support and maintain anti-financial crimes models for peak performance through use of analytics, statistics, and modeling techniques. This will include monitoring and tuning of Anti-Money laundering (AML) and Consumer Fraud monitoring and detection and interdiction scenarios and models. The analyst will work to maintain coverage of financial crimes red flags and prepare appropriate model and change documentation in coordination with data scientists and vendor solution providers.

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Financial Services Compliance Model Governance will support statistical modeling and analysis by processing large amounts of data, present findings through data visualization tools, and work with third party providers or internal teams to oversee model validation efforts and memorializing model selection rationales and defined assumptions. The Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Financial Services Compliance Model Governance will provide model output, support ongoing risk assessment activities, and ensure model documentation is maintained and updated as required.

What you'll do...

  • Perform ongoing monitoring of all active anti-financial crime models to review performance and escalate concerns
  • Create statistically representative samples and perform analysis through Above the Line and Below the Line testing to ensure that models are effective and functioning accordingly
  • Perform quantitative testing and statistical analysis techniques as it pertains to BSA/AML models, including name similarity matching, classification accuracy testing, unsupervised/supervised machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic matching, decision trees, etc.
  • Analyze, test and/or validate BSA/AML and/or Consumer Fraud models; implement, test , or evaluate the performance of financial crime and compliance systems
  • Code using Google Cloud, SQL. Python, experience producing reporting or analytics that leverage modeling techniques, entity resolution, network analysis, or other sophisticated approaches
  • Research and recommend new detection, interdiction, forecasting, and other model approaches through analysis efforts
  • Develop and recommend model changes to monitor and address new financial crime typologies and emerging risks
  • Maintain a coverage assessment to ensure red flags/typologies are addressed through monitoring efforts or other appropriate controls

What you'll bring...
  • Experience using Featurespace and/or Quantexa system applications
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics or a numerate discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering)
  • Strong problem-solving skills (especially in data-centric applications)
  • Strong clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Experience applying practical machine learning algorithms to real-world data
  • Strong knowledge about model risk management and associated regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual sills (preferably Spanish) and have experience supporting international markets - particularly Latin America

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
