RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Firewall Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO. As a Senior Firewall Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure to protect our organization from cyber threats.Duties:- Senior Firewall Engineer will design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using Tufin, SRX, and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain firewall policies, rulesets, and access controls based on industry best practices and organizational security requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies to enhance network security posture
- As a Senior Firewall Engineer, you will monitor firewall logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents, anomalies, and potential threats in a timely manner
- Document firewall configurations, policies, and procedures, and provide training to internal stakeholders on firewall best practices and security protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience working as a Firewall Engineer or Network Security Engineer in a large enterprise environment
- The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in firewall technologies, particularly with Tufin, SRX, and Palo Alto firewalls, coupled with a strong background in networking principles
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with firewall technologies, including Tufin, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto firewalls
- Proficiency in firewall policy management, rule creation, and access control lists (ACLs)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Industry certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-Junos), or equivalent certifications are a plus
- Experience with security policy automation, orchestration, and change management using Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange is highly desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
