The successful candidate will partner with the finance and operations leaders to manage & organize the information flow from multiple ERP systems, supporting Sales, Project Management, and Manufacturing to provide accurate financial data and help Operations grow the business!

Job Summary

Responsible for financial analysis and various month-end functions at production facilities within the Architectural Glass & Storefront division at Oldcastle BuidlingEnvelope, including production cost accounting, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and leading the month-end close process. This role will partner directly with plant leadership to improve profitability and operations by conducting cost reviews and enhancing internal controls. This role will also partner with Corporate to establish enhanced financial policies. This leader will be instrumental in balance sheet risk management, identifying efficiencies and creating value within a decision support function.

Here's What You'll Get to Do:

• Process Improvement - Develop and improve current policies and procedures to ensure efficient accounting practices.
• Drive timely and accurate month-end close process
• Review and approve project forecasts completed by project managers
• Ensure proper cost accounting processes are followed
• Review balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor, and enforce internal controls (i.e. SOX compliance) through oversight of Business Process and Controls Group.
• Co-manage audits performed by Internal Audit and external auditors and remediate audit findings.
• Participate in annual budget process by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
• Manage various external relationships, including other Oldcastle Building Envelope locations and third-party tax firms
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

Here's What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience
• 2+ years public accounting experience; Manufacturing and distribution accounting experience preferred
• High level of emotional intelligence with effective written and verbal communication skills
• Adept at managing time and must be highly organized and committed to meeting priorities & deadlines
• Attention to detail and possessing a high level of commitment towards goals and objectives
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing licensure continued education requirements, attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
