Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

TheSenior Compensation Analystis responsible for testing, reviewing, obtaining approvals, implementing, communicating, and monitoring all financially based employee programs. This position is tasked with using technology and process innovations to improve the People Organizations compensation management.

In this data-driven position, the analyst will implement compensation philosophies, strategies, programs, and guidelines that will provide the maximum incentive necessary to ensure employees are motivated to achieve high levels of performance. They will also ensure compliance with best practices, legal regulations, and Company financial considerations. The ideal candidate will have insight to advise leadership on trends they are seeing in the compensation data and execute leadership strategies.

What Will You Do?

  • Analyze and evolve the Company's base pay structure to ensure it is competitive in the market and equitable internally.
  • Analyze all variable pay programs to ensure they are cost-effective and are managed in accordance with established policies and best practices. Sales incentive programs are a significant portion of the variable pay function.
  • Design, evaluate, monitor, test, and reevaluate incentive, commission, and bonus programs to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all sales compensation including base and incentives are market competitive, equitable, understandable, and trackable, and that they drive the behavior necessary to reach plan goals for all sales metrics.
  • Participate with long-term incentives such as deferred compensation, cash awards, and retention bonuses that may be usable for the Company's executive employees.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC section 162(m) and any other IRS, SEC, state, or international regulations governing payments to the Company's executive employees.
  • Ensure all LTI programs comply with the Company's Compensation Philosophy and the Company's financial goals and that all programs comply with accounting practices.
  • Research and present recognition and non-cash incentives that may be effective in managing the Company's employees.
  • Prepare reports that show the total cost of employment to include payroll, benefits, perks, etc.
  • Develop merit increase budgets, guidelines, and instructions to ensure top employees are paid appropriately for their contribution and that all other employees' pay fits their contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with the FLSA and all other state, federal, and international regulations for the countries in which the Company has employees.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, meaningful, and appropriate job descriptions for positions.
  • Utilizing the Company's HRIS, gather and analyze employee data to identify issues and opportunities. Such data includes employee turnover, training, retention, growth, and absenteeism, Use HR analytics to discover, interpret, and communicate meaningful patterns of employment data. Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations so that decisions can be made with the full understanding of Company occurrences and external benchmarks.
  • Be prepared and available to consult one-on-one with executives, managers, and employees as requested.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in accounting, finance, or HR
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time hands-on compensation analysis experience
  • Experience with plan development, analysis, monitoring, and reporting
  • Knowledge of HRIS with a focus on reporting and analytics (Workday)
  • Understanding of local employment law

  • A good listener and tactician; comfortable receiving input from others to formulate a sound, well-organized plan
  • A team player, emotionally mature with a very good sense of humor and the flexibility and sensitivity to work with diverse personalities and situations

  • A hard worker with a high energy level; a "doer" with a willingness to work hands-on in developing and executing activities
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Willingness to travel periodically
  • High understanding of core compensation practices
  • Strong communication and consulting including with business leaders and People Business Partners
  • Ability to analyze metrics, and quantify business value
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Highly self-motivated, detail and outcome-oriented
  • Ability to discover, interpret, and communicate patterns of employment data internally and externally in the market
  • Ability to prepare analyses, reports, and presentations
  • Ability to participate in group meetings
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
