Our Client is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer in Atlanta, GA. / Hybrid.

Role Description

• Responsible for design and support of global networking in a public cloud environment (AWS/GCP)
• Responsible for implementation and administration of global cloud network and core cloud networking fundamentals. Successful candidate should have experience in enterprise networking (switching, routing, firewalls), with recent, substantial experience configuring networks in the Public Cloud with both AWS, and GCP ideally, but must have at least one of the two, and should possess fundamental knowledge of network security in public cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design, implementation, and support of global cloud network infrastructure based predominantly on AWS (some GCP)
• Takes part in global projects, representing the cloud network engineering team.
• Review and contribute to code for cloud network automation.
• Selects, upgrades, and integrates new technologies; maintains existing technologies.

Skills & Requirements

• Min 8 years of experience in Network Engineering in a large enterprise Public Cloud or Hybrid Public/Private cloud environment
• Cisco Nexus, Cisco NS-OS, Route/Switch, Strong expertise with network routing protocols, specifically but not limited to OSPF and BGP.,
• Firewalls - Checkpoint
• VPN,
• F5 Load Balancers
• Hands on experience in design, implementation, and administration of Cloud network engineering solutions and administration/support with major cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a working understanding of cloud networking components, and their uses in AWS and/or GCP
• Infrastructure as code (IaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience with tools such as Terraform, GitHub, Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, others.
• Container Technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) or (CI/CD),
• Experience with software defined networks SDN or SD-WAN
• Experience in large complex Global organizations and has multiple domains of expertise
• Knowledge of cloud security - Contributes to remediation efforts.
• Understanding of Regulatory Compliance : PCI, SOX and able to participate in risk and security audits.
• Experience managing configurations on F5 BIGIP load balancers
• Experience with network monitoring tools, such as DataDog and Solarwinds Participates in functional demos in new technologies and features.
• Demonstrated, hands-on, knowledge of managing configuration and rules on a next generation firewall, such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint or Cisco.
• Working understanding of AWS application load balancing, network load balancing, security groups, and direct connect
• Experience designing, implementing, and support and administration of maintaining global cloud platforms.
• Data Center/Infrastructure experience with technical knowledge and experience in large complex networking environments, solutions, and architecture & engineering principals.
• Platform automation and orchestration from technical and process perspectives
• Agile/Scrum/Kanba

MUST HAVES
• Cloud network engineering hands on experience as a consumer of major cloud providers, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a working understanding of cloud networking components, and their uses in AWS and/or GCP and deep technical understanding of core cloud networking fundamentals and network security fundamentals in a cloud environment.
• Advanced understanding and experience in large-scale global environments, complex network infrastructures, topologies, load balancers, routing, and protocols (Cisco Nexus, Cisco NS-OS, TCP/IP, VPN, MPBGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, NETCONF, VPN, Load Balancers)
• Checkpoint firewalls
• Experience managing configurations on F5 BIGIP load balancers
• Infrastructure as code (IaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience with tools such as Terraform, GitHub, Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, others.
• Understanding of Regulatory Compliance : PCI, SOX and able to participate in risk and security audits.
