Zurich's Risk Engineering Training Program is a hands-on curriculum for highly talented and motivated college graduates who are interested in working one-on-one with customers in various industries and contributing to Zurich's success in the role of a risk engineer. Risk Engineering takes an approach that emphasizes consulting and prevention of losses using engineering approaches and expertise rather than just focusing on checklists and inspections for regulatory compliance.

This program will start you on an exciting and challenging career path that will help you capitalize on your technical education working as part of a global insurance leader. As a Zurich Risk Engineer, you will have the opportunity to think and act on your feet, work in a flexible and fast paced environment, travel to customer locations, perform assessments to analyze and evaluate exposures, and help customers understand and manage their risk. Working with a powerful global service network of over 900 specialists with in-depth technical knowledge and industry segment expertise, you will have access to leading edge risk management information, tools, and training. Additionally, you will collaborate with underwriting teams to help with risk selection and retention.

Zurich's Risk Engineering team of property specialists provide detailed risk assessments of our customers' facilities focusing on fire protection, special hazards, natural catastrophe exposures, and the like to ultimately help protect our customers and Zurich from losses. Participants go through a structured 28-week training program, which includes mentoring and technical support with on-the-job training that gives them the technical and real-life perspective to understand the role of Risk Engineer.

The Risk Engineering role is a work from home role within the assigned territory. Travel is estimated at 25-50%. A company car is provided after successful completion of the training program and assignment to field work.
