Regional Vice President - Arizona

What You'll Do: As Regional Vice President your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain adequate sales across all lines of insurance (Life, P/C, Health, Business, etc.) within the Arizona market. Additional responsibilities will include:

  •  Work with Senior Leadership to establish and attain sales goals. Ensure the profitability of new business by monitoring loss ratio and persistency factors.
  •  Oversee the development and provide leadership to the Agency Managers, and regional staff regarding the selection, training/development, performance review, and motivation of Agents and/or agency employees in the selling of FBL products. Develop and ensure regional budget is adhered to.
  •  Implement training and motivational programs for Agents through Agency Managers, and regional staff. Oversee the development of programs designed to promote stability and growth in the field force and increase agent retention.
  •  Meet department quality performance objectives ensuring that company policy and procedures are communicated.  
  •  Ensure sales staff is fully trained regarding our Multi-line Cross Selling Programs in order to increase sales and market share.
  •  Provide stability and growth to the county and state organization by fostering positive relationships and assisting in attaining established Farm Bureau Federation membership goals.
  •  Provide leadership in the monitoring of sales and profits of the agents by setting strategies and goals and continuously monitoring performance.
  •  Project a positive image of FBL by ensuring compliance with state and company regulations.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  •  College degree or equivalent plus twelve years relevant experience required.  Insurance/life reinsurance and financial sales and sales management preferred.
  •  Licensed in all product lines preferred.
  •  LUTCF, CLU, ChFC, LLIF, CPCU industry designations preferred.
  •  Must have the ability to become a FINRA Registered Representative and Principal, Series 6, 63.
  •  Must be aware of and keep up-to-date regarding federal/state compliance regulations and company guidelines.
  •  Excellent people skills with the ability to work well with the field force, state management and home office personnel.
  •  Ability to communicate with upper level management, particularly sales management required.
  •  Extensive travel (estimated 50%) is required.
  •  Valid driver's license and/or the ability to travel, frequently overnight.
