Job Summary

  • Performs a portion of the full-cycle recruitment including candidate sourcing, resume and application review, assisting with phone screening, and reviewing the offers when requested.
  • Partners with hiring managers and/or HR Business Partners to plan and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Proactively recruits both active and passive candidates using traditional methods and developing sourcing methods including use of job boards, resume databases, social media, and other cold calling sources.
  • Leverages knowledge of best practices for sourcing and managing diverse talent.
  • Serves as "brand ambassador" selling the University's vision, mission and career opportunities.

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree (degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred).
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years of experience in recruiting or sourcing in a medium to large organization.
SKILLS

Required
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to represent the company with external constituents.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking system - preferably PeopleSoft.
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products.

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
