ABOUT THE JOB

The Virginia and Leonard Marx Outpatient Clinic is part of the Harlem Child Development Center (HCDC) that serves children ages 0 to 8 and their families. The clinic offers evaluations and treatment planning; parent-child psychotherapy; individual, family and group therapy; and family guidance. In addition to the clinic, the HCDC includes a therapeutic nursery school, early childhood consultation to community-based settings, and a special education itinerant teacher program.


The responsibilities of the Receptionist include:

  • Answering phones and directing callers to the appropriate person
  • Monitoring security cameras and alerting Administrator in charge to any concerns needing support and intervention
  • Greeting all individuals entering the facility
  • Calling workers to announce the arrival of consumers and clients
  • Logging arrivals into the daily client list
  • Referring clients with co-pays and transportation reimbursement needs to the Administrative reception desk for assistance
  • Checking for insurance authorization at the time of appointment
  • Maintaining the appearance of reception area
  • Entering data and running reports using Anasazi
  • Generating suspense reports, billing reports and authorization reports

TO QUALIFY

The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented Receptionists of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, College Degree preferred
  • Very strong computer competence in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • Experience with Anasazi is a strong plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker required
