Your Role:

The R&D Scientist will work with a team of curious scientists providing advanced material solutions to the semiconductor industry. We are at the forefront of technology, working with all the leading semiconductor manufacturers to deliver integrated solutions to the most challenging problems.

The scope of this position is:

  • Advanced research in the area of directed self-assembly of block copolymers for generating lithographically smaller feature sizes for IC industries
  • Research involves develop methods and characterize substrates and thin BCP
  • Brush materials for self-assembly characterization in lab and fab environment
  • Manage and lead projects as a key contact person for management and peers alike
Up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Physical Chemistry or other related Science or Engineering discipline with 3+ years' experience in physical characterization of polymers OR Master's Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Physical Chemistry or other related Science or Engineering discipline with 1+ years' experience in physical characterization of polymers
  • 1+ years of experience in macromolecular characterization and hands-on with microscopic techniques (SEM, AFM and TEM), XPS, film-thickness and contact angle measurement tools
  • 1+ years of experience performing thin organic film coating and lithography operations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Physical Chemistry
  • Post-doctoral experience
  • 1+ years of experience in directed self-assembly of block copolymer technology and working knowledge of lithography
  • 1+ years of experience working in clean room and device fabrication facilities for lithography
  • 1+ years of experience in directed self-assembly of block copolymers with ability to address issues via material design and litho-processes optimization
  • 1+ years of experience generating DoE and do analysis to correlated chemistry of lithographic materials
  • Ability to design new molecules to resolve chemical problems
  • Highly motivated to work with a team and succeed, able to learn and adopt new concepts and capable of handling the ambiguity and the inherent uncertainties that come with advanced material research and development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Ability to manage projects and influence others without direct authority
  • Being able to work in a matrix environment
