The primary responsibility of the quality control inspector is to maintain quality control testing and inputs of the green side of the plant.

Major functions and scope:

  • Helps to maintain a safe, healthy and organized working environment for all areas.
  • Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered too.
  • Follows the Quality Management System
  • Knowledge and Ability to run specialized lab equipment. This will include, but is not limited to lab kilns, spectrophotometer, gloss meter, calcimeter etc.
  • Perform any test per request that is related to equipment mentioned above.
  • Perform Quality Control tests and provide technical support.
  • Perform and record results on Quality control to Body raw materials.
  • Ability to perform any task required of a Lab Technician.
  • Ability to understand the color spectrum and to make color adjustments according to the delta readings from the colorimeter.
  • Maintains calibration of quality control equipment.
  • Ensures safe and healthy working conditions and ensures an organized work environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office software to write reports and to effectively present information and send email.
  • Ability to define opportunities; collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Monitors equipment and/or processes and ensures timely reporting of any unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Follows company operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 68 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
