Description
The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a full-time Psychology Supervisor/Program Director with the Division of Behavioral Health at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC). LRC is an inpatient, 250 bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital for adult patients which is run by DHHS and is located in Lincoln, NE.

LRC serves people who need very specialized psychiatric services and provides services to people who, because of mental illness, require a highly structured treatment setting.

Starting pay rate: $55.00/hour

Position is located at Lincoln Regional Center, 801 W Prospector Place, Lincoln, NE 68522

Work Scheduled: M-F day shift

Examples of Work
The psychologist in this position provides the overall clinical direction to the residential sex offender program as well as transition program for individuals who court ordered for treatment. This includes completion of psychological and risk evaluations, testimony and communication to the mental health board and courts relative to dangerousness and updates on progress are required. Supervision of other clinical staff across campus and administrative staff to meet the needs of the evidenced based programming, coordination of group and individual assignments, tracking patient progress and staff competency/credentialing. Attendance in leadership meetings to insure program is meeting licensure and Joint Commission Standards.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Doctorate in Psychology with clinical certification by the Nebraska Department of Health. Required clinical internship plus one year experience as a clinically certified psychologist with management
experience preferred.

PREFERRED: Experience working with sex offenders, performing sex offender and forensic risk assessments. Supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires knowledge of risk assessment instruments/protocols as well as psychological testing/evaluation to provide input into treatment and discharge planning consistent with policy, accreditation and licensure. Due to the specialized populations, this is a critical position to communicate with external partners and address the community, patient and staff safety.
