Job Description

Shearman & Sterling is seeking a mid-level Associate (Class Years 2017 - 2019) to join the Firm's Project Development & Finance practice group in the New York office. The Project Development & Finance practice group focuses on finance and development, asset acquisitions and dispositions, and complex work-outs and restructurings of infrastructure assets across the breadth of infrastructure sectors, including power, renewables and sustainable development and transportation.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Project Development & Finance or general finance experience in an Amlaw [50][100] law firm and strong academic credentials. The candidate will have an almost immediate opportunity to take on a significant role in transactions. Fluency in Spanish will be favorably considered.

Shearman & Sterling's compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $215,000 to $415,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Sherman & Sterling's total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
