MicroStrain by HBK is a leading provider of sensing solutions for a variety of applications, such as aerospace, automotive, energy, industrial, and medical. We design and manufacture sensors, wireless systems, data loggers, software, and accessories that measure strain, force, torque, acceleration, displacement, temperature, and more. Our products are used by engineers and researchers around the world to improve performance, safety, efficiency, and quality.

The Technician role is responsible for providing mechanical assembly and testing support to the Production and Engineering teams. They are assigned routine tasks with work instructions which are completed under normal supervision. They are responsible for contributing to continuous improvement through implementation of best practices and identification of inefficiencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot small electronic and mechanical components.
  • Operate and maintain standard test equipment in accordance with work instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records via lab notebooks, photographs, service requests and short reports for assembly and test processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in production or lab experience working in with electronic and mechanical devices, or equivalent
  • Highschool Diploma, GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in production or lab experience working in with electronic and mechanical devices, or equivalent
  • Technical or Vocational certification, preferred
  • Soldering experience, preferred. Such as IPC-A-610 or J-STD Certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, test plans, and drawings as required.
  • Ability to set-up and operate test equipment under normal supervision.
