The Product Manager is responsible for managing the generics category of Rx pharmaceutical products stocked and positioned for sale in PSaS distribution centers. Responsible for directing the development of company and or market requirements for specific products or product lines. The Product Manager will ensure seamless product support by executing upon manufacturer agreements and or notifications, business plans developed with manufacturers, internal policies, and distribution agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- The Product Manager (PM) will ensure accurate and efficient set-up of new generic products. This includes timely Global Item ID assignments, ongoing GID maintenance, and resolving any GID related issues from ClarusONE and internal teams. The PM will also be responsible for the item maintenance of all existing generic products, including case-pack changes, GTIN updates, along with addressing internal and external concerns related to all aspects of item setup and maintenance.
- Create value through intake, analysis, and coordination of activities related to non-program stocking offers, investment buys, and quarter-end buy opportunities. Create and maintain a tracker related to the buys, process NPO's, follow up on items related to sell through, and execute on return clauses.
- Manage and drive continuous improvement to an existing generic product discontinuation and NDC change process. Work with ClarusONE, Master Data, and the National Buying Center to ensure timely communication and execution of discontinuations or NDC changes.
- Manage the maintenance and consolidation of generic vendor IDs where appropriate by ensuring proper item alignment and keyword description updates. Partner with Master Data to ensure COIs and licenses are up to date by reaching out to suppliers as necessary to obtain updated ones. Work with EDI and SCORE team to ensure all vendor IDs are correctly setup. Address all internal and external generic vendor number inquiries and issues.
- Ensure timely execution of product divestitures/acquisitions by confirming we have all the required information on the notifications, setting up new vendor IDs as needed, new item creation, and sending out communications to all the necessary departments in a timely manner to ensure a smooth transition.
- Develop and maintain generic supplier relationships through acting as a liaison between generic manufacturers and McKesson business units/departments. First point of contact for problem solving strategies related to generic products. Attend scorecard meetings to discuss/review all processes related to the product management team with our generic suppliers.

Minimum RequirementDegree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education- 4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Critical Skills
- 4+ years' experience in areas such as product management, supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, forecasting, or finance.
- Ability to negotiate and understand supplier relationships
- Experience with extracting large amounts of data from McKesson systems (SQL, Snowflake, Business Objects, SCORE, SAP etc.)
- Organize and analyze data into meaningful and easily disseminated reporting via PC based tools (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Prepare reports and provide strategic recommendations to leadership, internal, and external stakeholders
- Development of new programs, systems, and / or business processes

Our Base Pay Range for this position$94,500 - $157,500
