Job Summary
Ensures maximum uptime of production machines by diagnosing and addressing quality issues and variations from customer specifications due to molding machines, processes, materials, or operator interactions. There will be a $500 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days, and another $500 Sign-On Bonus after 180 days/6 months.
Responsibilities
- Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support the on-time completion of production targets
- Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks that can be corrected by material changes or process adjustments
- Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
- Communicates and verifies necessary raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve production efficiency and accuracy
- Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
- Routinely changes machine inserts to customize product wording or labeling in accordance with customer specifications
- Notifies a Maintenance Technician of a machine electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic issue or problems that may require a fabricated solution
- Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and notifies the supervisor
- Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies under the guidance of a technical Manager
- Performs routine analyses and calculations, and recommends changes in equipment, products or test methods
- Assists the on-shift supervisor with assigning operators to machines and provides direction to Machine Operator as to machine cycle time and operating multiple machines at a time
- Assists Material Handlers with troubleshooting material issues
- Writes simple robot programs and makes minor adjustments to complex programs
- Has basic knowledge of moving different robots
- Has the ability to service and maintain End-Of-Arm Tooling (EOAT)
Requirements - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior experience with processing of plastic injection molding machines required
- Lock out/tag out authorization provided by company
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and fit items
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- All work performed indoors in an industrial manufacturing environment, frequently working around hot equipment with exposure to oil, grease, and molten plastic
Compensation - The hourly pay rate for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
