The Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Salaried Bargaining Unit (SBU) Tooling Engineers in the development of process and tooling within General Assembly (Trim, Chassis and Final) from vehicle design concept through in-plant vehicle launch. This position will make champion data driven decisions and will manage complex projects from beginning to end, meeting project budget and timing targets. An ideal candidate will manage issues and drive root cause analysis, utilizing tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, Kaizen Methodology, FMEAs, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma and Red X. The person in this role will drive design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects (large or small) as well as work to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering their direct reports to take ownership of their processes. The Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor communicates effectively with all levels of management and is available to travel in support of NAFTA plants.
