Your Role:

Are you passionate about intellectual property and looking to kickstart your career as a patent attorney or patent agent? Join our dynamic team and play an active role in patent portfolio management for our vibrant life science and healthcare businesses. As a key member of our patent team, you will be involved in drafting, filing, prosecuting, and defending patents. Your key responsibility will be collaborating with colleagues across different jurisdictions to prosecute patent cases, as well as engaging with our R&D teams.

This role is being offered as fully remote with part-time hours. Consideration will be given for a full-time position for the right candidate.

In this role, you will provide valuable counsel on IP matters, identifying opportunities, risks, and solutions that align with our company's business objectives. Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a biological science, with preference for immunology or molecular and cellular biology. Advanced degree and/or experience in research and development a plus
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO
  • Minimum 1-3 years of patent law experience, in-house or in private practice

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English required, German or other language skills advantageous
  • Cognizant of managing risks
  • Skilled at effective time management and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
