This job posting is for 2nd shift with a general work schedule of Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m./midnight. The base rate of pay is $21.90/hour, plus a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed. This job is eligible for overtime pay.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operates mold or belt ovens producing sausage patties

• Starts production run of oven and achieves and maintains desired production levels on molded ovens
• Measures patties to ensure compliance with specifications
• Sets or adjusts pre-heat temperatures, oven temperatures, and flow rates
• Sets fill parameters of hi-bar pumps and injectors and adjusts as needed
• Understands use of steam in the cooking process and use of dampers for air control within the oven and how to adjust if needed
• Documentation - keeps thorough and accurate records of production data and completes Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) documentation
• Works with Production Lead to learn corrective actions appropriate to oven and/or product
• All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
• Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
• Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

• At least three (3) months of relevant operator experience with one or a combination of employers
• At least four (4) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) years
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, but not required
• Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
• Experience with inventory control methods preferred
  • Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with oven and product specifications
• Ability to accurately perform math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed
• Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as needed
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, below, and at shoulder level
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
  • Ability to work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of up to 8-10 hours/day
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas and to work at elevated levels and various heights and in confined spaces, as needed
  • Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm to cold/freezing, where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas

• Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
