Eagle Harbor Solutions, a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with a Top-Secret Clearance to support EHS and our customer in Washington, DC.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Oracle Database administrator will maintain the Oracle databases and perform routine system health checks at the beginning and conclusion of each day. This individual will support ticket resolution efforts, software deployments and routine patching. The administrator will ensure database backups are completed successfully, will resolve performance issues, and improve bottlenecks. The DBAmust be able to support weekend infrastructure and release nights (typically once or twice a month on Friday's from 7 p.m. - Midnight) and be able to work one of the following shifts: 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. or 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. daily.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) administration
  • Oracle Backups and Recovery Using RMAN
  • Oracle Database Administration
  • Oracle Database Performance Tuning
  • Oracle Data Guard Administration/Monitoring
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration/Administration/Monitoring
  • Oracle RAC/Database Software maintenance
  • Oracle Database refreshes
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 19c administration tasks including installation, configuration, backup, and recovery processes
  • Extensive experience in an Oracle 19c RAC environment
  • Strong background in performance tuning
  • Hands on experience performing PL/SQL scripting
  • Extensive experience leading database development for new software projects
  • Experience with Linux and/or similar Unix-based servers
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • 8+ years database administration in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years' experience with Oracle 19c
  • 5+Unix/Linux (OEL/RHEL) server administration
  • 5+ experience performing bash scripting
  • 5+ years advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred skills and experience/training
  • Oracle Database 12c: Cluster ware & RAC Admin Accelerated (Vendor Oracle)
  • Oracle Database 12c R2: Backup and Recovery Workshop(Vendor Oracle)
Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
