Responsibilities

Two full-time Postdoctoral Scholar positions are available immediately in a biochemistry and biophysics laboratory to investigate the structure and function of the proteasome and other elements of the ubiquitin-proteasome system in health and disease.

The successful candidates will spend 95% of their time performing wet-bench research on proteasome assembly and function using biochemical and biophysical approaches.

The remaining 5% will be devoted to career development opportunities (preparation and submission of postdoctoral fellowship applications, attending seminars, journal clubs, and career development opportunities, etc.).

Qualifications

Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry, or physics conferred within the last five years.

The successful candidates will have a proven record of scholarly activity commensurate with their experience levels, and will be highly self-motivated.

Anticipated Salary Range

Salary will be commensurate with career and experience level as dictated by the NIH NRSA Stipend levels.
