OBGYN Physician- Cooley Dickinson Medical Group- Northampton, MA

Seeking full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Ob/Gyn physician to join our OBGYN and Midwifery Team at Cooley Dickinson Health Care. Join our thriving practice of seven physicians and seven Certified Nurse Midwives. With three locations we offer women in the Pioneer Valley the full scope of health care, including pregnancy, childbirth and midwifery services as well as comprehensive gynecology care.

Recently awarded Baby-Friendly certification, Cooley Dickinson Hospital features a state-of-the-art and spacious Childbirth Center where patients benefit from a warm and welcoming environment, outstanding one-on-one nursing care, hydrotherapy tub, and nitrous oxide, in addition to all standard medical offerings.

The Childbirth Center offers 6 labor and delivery rooms and 10 large, post-partum rooms that cater to both patients and their families. The office practice has a fully integrated EMR, in-office ultrasound and a team passionate about providing solid ob/gyn care.

In addition to being a progressive community hospital, our unique relationship with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston enables us to offer patients the best of a coordinated partnership between an academic medical center and a community healthcare system: the right care, at the right time, in the right place. When needed, we bring MGH's advanced subspecialty care and expertise right to Cooley Dickinson's patients in Northampton through on-site clinics and telemedicine services, closer to home for patients as appropriate. In cases where direct tertiary or quaternary care is necessary or advised, we similarly make it easy through shared systems and processes for Cooley Dickinson's patients to receive care directly at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston if desired.

About the organization:

The Cooley Dickinson Health Care system, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and Mass General Brigham, has a medical staff of approximately 500 active members (physicians and advanced practice clinicians). The system is comprised of the Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Cooley Dickinson Medical Group, as well as a VNA and Hospice. We pride ourselves on being a progressive, empowering employer, and a place for everyone. We are driven by our responsibility to create a culture of continuous improvement and be an all-inclusive health care provider, employer, and leader in our community.

The system's 140-bed hospital annually admits 8600 patients, treats 34,000 emergency patients and delivers approximately 600 babies. The Cooley Dickinson Medical Group (CDMG), the fastest-growing part of the system, consists of approximately 74 physicians and 37 advanced practice clinicians who provide care at 11 locations.

About the area:
