SUMMARY

The network engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT networks and infrastructure to support business needs. This role ensures the stability, security, and integrity of local area network, wide area network, and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Build, configure, manage, troubleshoot, upgrade, optimize, patch, and monitor IT network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VoIP).
* Design, build, implement, migrate, troubleshoot, and maintain IT network infrastructure backup, security, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
* Coordinate and manage work with service providers for installation, preventative maintenance, upgrade, migration, repair, and outage remediation.
* Monitor network performance and identify potential network issues and implement solutions proactively.
* Collaborate and support manufacturing operations with projects in IoT, Industry 4.0, data collection for predictive analytics.
* Design and write custom scripts to automate manual tasks.
* Create and maintain dashboards to monitor processes and infrastructure for optimization and problem prevention.
* Provide project updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and upper management.
* Collaborate with IT team members and cross functional business partners to deliver projects and support day-to-day operation.
* Create innovative solutions to help deliver business values.
* Research and provide solutions to enhance IT capabilities to improve business growth.
* Work on multiple projects and manage day-to-day operations, concurrently.
* Assist and mentor other team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in IT fields or equivalent IT experience.
* Minimum five years of experience in network engineering and administration. Experience with network protocols for management, communication, and security such as SNMP, FTP,, Telnet, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, ARP, SSL, SFTP, and HTTPS required. Experience with POP3 and BGP preferred.
* Experience with Velo Cloud SDWAN and firewall required.
* Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting required.
* Experience with Cisco network switches, Meraki access points, Palo Alto Panorama network monitoring, Palo Alto firewall configurations required.. Experience with domain controller, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, DFS configuration, troubleshooting and management required.
* Experience with PowerShell, batch file, and other scripting languages to optimize processes is a plus.
* Experience in configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting MFA, SSO, LDAP, SAML, and Kerberos are highly desirable.
* Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Azure Active Directory preferred.
* Experience in managing IT infrastructure and cloud application projects is preferred.
* Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
* Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Cisco certifications (CCT - Cisco certified technicians, CCNA - Cisco certified network associate, CCNP - Cisco certified network professional, CCIE - Cisco certified internetwork expert) are highly desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic informational technology bachelor's degree math skill level

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Occasional work assignments in the manufacturing environment which will require the compliance of OSHA regulations and CIT safety standards.

SALARY INFORMATION

In compliance with multiple state's wage transparency laws, the annual salary for this position will be $100,000 - $120,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Carlisle Interconnect Technology reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.
