RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Boulder, CO that is seeking a Network Automation Software Engineer.Responsibilities:
  • In this role, the Network Automation Software Engineer will design, architect and lead implemention of multi-tier software systems to: automatically provision, configure, deploy and validate network devices, integrate with Observability, AIOps and ITSM platforms, and perform network self-healing actions and auto-remediate network trouble
  • Develop web service APIs to integrate with other platforms in our ecosystem
  • The Network Automation Software Engineer will lead efforts in continuous integration of network platforms with infrastructure as code (IaaC) toolsets
  • Collaborate with the network engineering and product management teams to rapidly onboard and automate new products and capabilities
  • As a Network Automation Software Engineer, you will guide less experienced team members in the development of complex software tools and systems


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience with software development using python, public cloud providers and modern web frameworks
  • SDLC: Strong understanding of an agile software development lifecycle, including source control and CI/CD systems
  • Linux Experience: command line experience on low level linux-based systems, deployed in a high-availability production environment
  • Network Experience: advanced understanding of LAN and WAN network protocols with experience installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches
  • Strong backround in edge networking and SD-WAN
  • Serverless development on cloud service provider native platforms
  • Single page application development using frameworks such as React/nextjs
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols including SNMP, webhooks, syslog, and messaging buses
  • Use of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Integration with enterprise software platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, and NetSuite


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
