About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Modify electric motors per customer specification.
- Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
- Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues.
- Be proficient enough with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
- Work in conjunction with the warehouse team to insure proper placement of modified motors in inventory.
- Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge / training:
- Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors.
- Ability to handle manual and power tools.
- Understand and follow safety procedures.
- Familiar with modification procedures.
- Familiar with the inventory control system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience:
- 0 - 5 years of related experience.
