Judge Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for an opening with one of our top clients in the Oviedo, FL area ASAP!

Position Details:

Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Oviedo, FL 32765

Type of engagement: Contract

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5:00pm

Specific Duties:

• Greets patients in courteous and polite manner.
• Performs venipuncture under the direction of a physician or advance care practitioner.
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Contacts patients as needed to give testing results instructions from the physician and scheduling of necessary visits.
• Conducts all front office functions as requested.
• Answers telephone inquiries and triage calls.
• Responsible for all laboratory duties including drawing, spinning, prepping blood for testing and maintaining appropriate logs.
• Maintains equipment and adequate stock levels of consumables in laboratory area.
• Maintains equipment and adequate stock levels of consumables in laboratory area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification (or RMA)
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
• 2 or more years of relevant back office, medical assistant experience required for those without an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or RMA or CMA designation.
• Bilingual- Spanish speaking
