Shift Details:

6:00pm - 6:00am

The responsibility of this position is to accurately receive and/or ship product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, picking and filling orders from stock, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Job duties include computer work, cycle counts, bar code scanning, picking, packing, preparation, receiving, and shipping of customer orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements of responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. • Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) with lifting devices such as forklift, reach truck, and/or motorized pallet jack rider in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work training, methods, and OSHA standards including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to assigned staged and/or storage locations. Counts all products and compares to manifest and checks all shipments for damage, shortage, overage and any other discrepancies. Reports shortages, damages and/or discrepancies on proper forms.
• Loads outbound shipments safely and compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Sign necessary documents to ensure record keeping along with the usage of system scripts. Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.
• Perform the put-away, sorting and/or placement of inbound raw materials or items on racks or shelves and keep effective use of warehouse space. Maximizes space usage.
• Use of wireless RF device or desktop computer to perform all Warehouse Management System (WMS) data entry transactions / material moves, including but not limited to put away functions, bin-to-bin transfers, and inventory lookup.
• Conduct physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and finding discrepancies.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multiple priority environment.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, and other team members.
• General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, picking up loose trash, take out the trash, etc.)
• Performs other tasks considered necessary by management. Complete special projects, duties, or assignments appropriately.
• Must have the ability to work flexible shift hours, overtime and provide customer on-call support after normal scheduled work hours to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• Candidates with certifications relevant to the areas of powered industrial equipment operation preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse experience preferred.

SKILLS / PROFICIENCIES:

• Must be certified to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, reach truck, and pallet jacks.
• Math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes and hearing protection.
• Demonstrate knowledge of or the ability to learn the use of computer systems, faxes, and printers.
• Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on work volume needs and as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor / Manager.
• Ability to analyze data and information, and to handle paperwork and transactions, with a high rate of accuracy.
• Detail oriented, organized, reliable, and resourceful.

• While performing the duties of this job, manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials is required.
• Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily Manuel / technical nature.
• The employee must be able to climb stairs, bend at the waist, twist, climb, stoop, stand, walk, grasp, pull, push, and have the full use of fingers on both hands to enable safe material handling, as well as function efficiently and safely.
• Steel toed safety shoes are required.

This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for files and computer printouts.
