RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manufacturing Launch Engineer in Lockport, NY.Summary:The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.Job Responsibilities:- Manufacturing Launch Engineer will study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
- Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications
- Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
- As a Manufacturing Launch Engineer, you will prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
- Launch and execution team; Responsible for the building materials and meeting with engineers and what is recommended for spare parts
- Work with purchasing team to setup and restock quantities to ensure the process is smooth
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred; Will consider candidates with equivalent work experience
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Familiar with motors, gear parts and electrical components; Not expecting candidate to be an expert, but some knowledge is helpful
- Proficient in Excel: spreadsheets and pivot tables
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Team player and detail oriented
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics, and computer-generated reports
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
