Summary: Programming in a variety of languages including Bash, PHP, Python, JavaScript, RSLogix 500/5000, and XCode, utilizing SQL syntax and developing/utilizing JSON API's to access various data sources. Programming will involve structured as well as unstructured methodologies and will often require interfacing with various staff to determine direction and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and resolution for hardware & software problems.
  • Support, Maintain, and improve:
  • Manufacturing Datacenter assets and architecture, which include, but are not limited to power systems, LAN, WLAN, VMware hosts, Standalone servers, SAN and/or NAS, including replication of data for manufacturing DR needs.
  • Multi-level Backup servers leveraging Linux and in-house software.
  • Integration between MFG Datacenter and the PLC assets of the factory.
  • MariaDB database servers.
  • WLAN and Network wiring and monitoring for manufacturing assets.
  • DR methodologies for MFG connectivity, including periodic testing.
  • Documentation for all processes and assets.
  • Support and Maintain:
  • Various physical and virtual Linux and Windows servers.
  • Various portable devices, including iOS-based platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Regular on-site attendance is required.

Job Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or other related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience.
  • Linux and Windows OS expertise, in addition to experience with VMware architectures.
  • Requires working experience in Python/PHP/MariaDB/Bash.
