SUMMARY

Responsible for the design of production tools and/or machines and related process instructions and for the development of solutions for production problems related to material, processing, and tooling "To give our customer what they want, when they want it." Support the manufacturing associates in training of new product released to production, responding to cell support that is needed, creating sound process instructions that includes building quality in.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Develop repeatable, usable efficient build process instructions (i.e., PI, MI and WI)
* Understand and interprets customer requirements, to include new product launch; review and approve PPAP & APQP (Control Plans, FMEAs, Flow Charts, MSAs, GR&R, etc.)
* Investigate, isolate, and resolve manufacturing design and assembly problems
* Evaluate existing methods of manufacturing and assembly
* Research new methods and equipment for manufacturing and assembling of connectors and cables
* Interface with Assembly Supervisor(s) to review requirements for design of tooling, processes and manufacturing requirements for the assembly lines
* Ensures and helps enforce standard policies and procedures
* Ensures Quality System processes and procedures are followed

* Effectively conveys messages in both verbal and written communications.
* Analyze errors in design and production.
* Ability to communicate and interface well with a wide range of people.
* Work with Engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
* Review, analyze, and make a determination regarding the integrity of products produced to standards stated in documentation such as but not limited to drawings, specifications, PI's, MI's, WI's, checklists, etc. and process/sign-off "affirm" your peer's quality and workmanship.
* Continually improve the setup and processes on new and existing builds.
* Provide training when necessary to the new build and service associates in your area.
* Helps monitor productivity by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.
* Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment.
* Provides advice and feedback on corrective actions.
* Assists in Continuous Improvement activities.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.
* Follow all Safety Guidelines and report unsafe conditions to Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and

chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point

of operation and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering

controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with minim 3-5 years' experience.
* Knowledge of solder proofing an IPC/J-STD standards a plus.
* Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD &T).
* Ability to design and draw in CAD software, Solid Works preferred.
* Broad proficient knowledge of many manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Ability to be flexible and work on different assignments that may include additional hours as needed.
* Ability to review, analyze and understand MRP reports and translate into scheduling workloads.
* Demonstrated effective decision-making skills.
* Demonstrated effective leadership skills, understand, and promote company objectives, acting as a role model.
* Demonstrated ability to work in teams with diverse groups of people.
* Demonstrated ability to embrace and foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a pro-active approach utilizing excellent problem-solving skills and options for resolution.
* Ability to work effectively and participate at any level in teams.
* Must be able to review, analyze, and decide regarding the integrity of products produced to standards stated in documentation such as but not limited to drawings, specifications, PI's, MI's, WI's, checklists, etc., and process/sign-off "affirm" your peer's quality and workmanship.
* Analyze processes, products, test results or other data to facilitate problem solving.
* Ability to perform root cause analysis utilizing Fishbone diagrams, 5Why's and 8D's.
* Work with a variety of departments and personnel to facilitate the analysis, development, and processes of NPI products.
* Perform various training techniques (verbal, written and kinetic) that you are certified to perform. Must have the ability to offer techniques for diverse types of learners and repeat training if needed after evaluating the success of your training.
* Knowledge and understanding of SMT lead-free soldering process and production materials a plus.
* Experience in aerospace and defense industry working within AS9100 regulations is preferred.
* Ability to review, analyze and understand MRP reports.
