Description:

Essential Duties:
Specific duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Responsible for building, managing, and maintaining a multi-could, multi-vendor
framework to support a secure vendor agnostic cloud environment.
• Leads the end-to-end cloud compute, database, storage, network and systems
Administration teams
• Manage and monitor servers, network and infrastructure to minimize downtime of
critical resources - create and maintain outage and system alerts for proactive and
reactive responses
• Establish dashboards, metrics, and reports of systems infrastructure performance
• Guides Cloud Engineers in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation to
provision and manage infrastructure resources in a diverse, hybrid cloud environment
• Acts as a first point of contact for major production incidents, escalations and business
impacting technology issues
• Escalates to other teams, management, vendors or service providers for unresolved
major incidents based on defined processes or instructions from the management team
• Partners with DevOps, SRE, Product Engineering and other teams in the development,
implementation, and management of our SaaS platform
• Ensure systems security and compliance with SOC2, ISO, GDPR, FedRAMP, etc.
• Maintain operations policies & procedures; including security; disaster recovery;
monitoring and customer communications
• Assist in contract negotiations for cloud infrastructure technologies and services
• Advise emerging technologies that should be integrated and/or introduced to ensure
cloud computing capabilities respond to the needs of the business strategy
• Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through automation and optimizing
resource utilization
• Manage and participate in operational coverage amongst operation team members
• Develop and grow the team through recruitment, trainings, challenging assignments, and
rewards/recognition on consistent basis.
• Forecast future needs to acquire and develop a workforce with the appropriate mix
of business knowledge, technical skills, and competencies
• Ensure teams follow the established change and incident and change management
processes.
Marginal Duties:
Education/Qualifications: The education/qualifications described are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable

• 10+ years' minimum experience in managing IT infrastructure operations teams,
administrating, and managing Linux/Windows systems for production, test, and
development environments
• 5+ years of building, maintaining, and managing cloud environments across multiple
cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• BSc/BA in Information Technology, computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
MSc/MA will be a plus
• Experienced in operating in AWS, leveraging cloud-native services, and understanding
the pillars of the AWS well-architected framework.
• AWS and/or Azure certification strongly preferred
• Practical experience or a high level of comfort working with DevOps teams in a fast[1]moving, agile software development environment.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and supporting
containerized applications and CI/CD frameworks to automate builds, test, and
deployments in partnership with DevOps team
• Solid understanding of incident and change management processes in an agile
environment
